Did you know that you can consciously improve your ability to get into deeper states of consciousness by using or leveraging audio meditation?

See a lot of people just use them for that instant relief and unwinding from the end of a long work day, but you can actually use them in a way that helps you to condition deeper and deeper states of relaxation, mindfulness, de-stressing and meditation. You just kind of have to modify your outlook.

Most people don’t see it this way, but it is kind of exciting that you can actually entrain yourself to enter deeper states of consciousness… becoming more conscious of consciousness in a way! Fortunately, audio meditations are already helping you with that process of guiding you into a less-cluttered state.

In many ways, it is easier for beginner and intermediate meditators to use guided audio meditation to help get into those more relaxed, Zen and egoless states of consciousness because they aren’t as conditioned to just be in those states. In a way you really have to work on being ‘out of the condition’ of the ego. You can also use guided meditations that work on heart or sexual consciousness to work on conditioning yourself into more of those zen-like states where you are just ‘being’ and not fettered by the clutter of your mind.

What I teach with Self-Awakening covers a holistic approach to consciousness because you can be egoless in your emotional, sexual, spiritual and physical consciousness (not just spiritual) outside of your thinking states of waking consciousness.

So you can use a more advanced and almost performance-based outlook with spirituality in order to improve your ability to be in deeper states of relaxation. How can you do it?

As you keep going through the same guided audio meditation over days and weeks, try and see how fast you can get into a deep relaxed state as soon as possible. I do recommend using one good audio meditation resource which you can condition to. Each time you go through it, you can kind of gauge where you are at by the time it reaches new words.

Try and take yourself into a more relaxed state every time or at least set a standard of reaching the real effect and intention of the guided audio meditation. All of this becomes more powerful when you take on a greater definition of self where your emotional, sexual, physical and spiritual consciousness (which are all egoless) becomes deepened in your awakening journey. That is very different than an ego-driven definition of self with a quick ‘unwinding’ at the end of the day before you go back to the same stresses of your work to repeat the shallower cycle all over again.

The more you get into spirituality and spending more time in deeper states of consciousness (and there are different ways beyond just zen meditation), the more it will become normal for you to just BE present, de-stressed and more youthful. You’ll actually start living and ‘being’ more in a relaxed, present, zen-like state where the stresses of the world don’t affect you as much. And when you go back into any type of meditation session, being so experienced from your past (conditioning), you’ll be able to more effectively stay and remain in consistent, deeper states. This is very beneficial for your health and wellbeing and your monkey mind ego won’t ‘own’ you as much.

There are plenty of benefits to meditation as you already know and becoming more spiritual with an expanded definition of self as Mind, Body, Heart, Sexiness and Soul will also help your ability to be in deeper states. Meditation Made Easy

For anyone who has tried to meditate on a regular basis you will know that it is not always easy.

First finding the time to put aside for meditation can be difficult and then turning off the mind chatter and making good use of your time can be even harder.

I am a big believer in easy meditation. I understand the benefits of long and intense meditation sessions.

However I really think that a person can get a huge amount of benefit from a simple 10 – 20 minute meditation session at some point during the day.

Set Time Aside

I have never been good at sticking with a regular meditation schedule. After trying for some time I decided that in order for meditation to work for me it would have to be flexible. By flexible I mean that my meditation sessions would have to spontaneously fit within my day.

I no longer try to wake up early and meditate before my day begins. For one thing I often ended up falling back to sleep and then after several days of this I would inevitably give up.

Now I tailor my short meditation sessions to suit my day. Sometimes I will do it in the morning; other times I do it while sitting at a park around lunch time. Other times I take a few moments after dinner to tune out and relax. Basically I do whatever works on any given day.

If you are having a hard time setting a regular time aside for your meditation sessions, don’t beat yourself up, just find another way that works for you.

Use an External Stimulus

When you only have a short period of time to meditate you want to make every second of that time count. It can often take quite a few minutes to turn off the mind chatter and truly tune out and tune within.

I found that listening to a binaural beats recording during my meditation session made a huge difference for me. The binaural brainwave audio almost immediately helped me to relax and begin meditating. The feeling you get from meditation with binaural beats must be felt in order to understand. Basically I feel a little like I am floating and my conscious mind feels a little like it goes to sleep.

All it takes is a few minutes a day of deep meditation to feel like a more relaxed, centered and rejuvenated person.

The Need For Guided Meditation

Human beings are social animals and need interaction as part of their daily lives. In this interaction, there is stimulus and reaction and there is always active participation. But there are times there is an overabundance of this cycle to the effect that the mind and body fails to adequately respond. When this limit is reached, there is a need for a slowdown for recuperative purpose and this can only be achieved through guided meditation.

Guided meditation is the activity where the social being is put on hold and the individual chooses to be alone to reflect on personal well being. This is achieved by removing the person from the setting of being the interactive with others to a place of solitude and being by yourself is not already meditation. The person needs to slow down the brain and concentrate on personal processes, like breathing and awareness to achieve the meditative state.

Undertaking meditation is not an easy procedure to achieve. There are just too many retained stimuli in the brain so despite the solitude, the brain still is interacting with retained stimuli. This is the importance of guided meditation comes in. By concentrating on the voice or the single stimuli for meditation, one essentially blocks out all the other matters. In achieving this, and following the given instructions, one can achieve a meditative state.

This practice though is not achievable at the first try. Often, you need to adjust a time for the exercise. Once imbibed, the recuperative effects on the mind and body are achieved. Meditative exercises help in keeping the mind and body fresh and attuned to personal well being. Over time, one can do this without assistance, so take time out to do this so you can be better for yourself and others.

There are two things in this life that many people do not know about their own brain. One of them is the fact that there are two aspects of consciousness that are actively ‘aware’ on a daily basis. Guided Meditation For Beginners

Guided meditation is great for beginners. This allows you to know, think and feel what you’re supposed to be doing while meditating. It’s a guided way of proper posture, correct breathing and what thoughts and feelings to let sit or pass. You can so this in a group session, someone reading a guide to you or by listening by audio.

For posture, you want to be sitting in a comfortable position. Not so comfortable that you’ll fall asleep, but enough to let your whole body relax, making sure your not leaning to one side or the other.

You’re breathe should be full complete breathes. When you inhale, make sure you fill both lungs and diaphragm as much as you can and still be comfortable. When you exhale, try to make it an even exhale. Making you’re breathes equally coming in as going out.

When it comes to thoughts people have different opinions on what the mind should be thinking. I would say it all depends on what you’re trying to achieve during your meditation. One way is trying to keep all thoughts from your mind. That can be very difficult to do considering the mind never stops. You have to just let each thought go as quickly as it came, trying not to hang on to anything for to long. The other way is keeping good willed thoughts in mind all the time. This will allow you to focus you meditation in the direction you want it to go, letting you control what you’re thinking and where you’re going. It may be very difficult at first, but don’t give up all good things come in time and with practice.

The three popular types of yoga you may have heard of are hatha yoga, power yoga and bikram yoga. Hatha yoga is the style of yoga most practiced today.
