Some people like to experiment in listening to binaural beats to become more relaxed or fall into a meditative state of mind. However, what some people may or may not realize is that some studies suggest that listening to binaural beats can actually help treat specific health problems, conditions and disorders as well.

If you’re sick and tired of relying on expensive medication to help treat a health condition that could be damaging to your mind and/or body, or even if you’ve been hoping to experiment with alternative health remedies, here are five conditions that could be treated when listening to binaural beats:

Weight Loss and Addiction

Because the key to balancing your weight is to control how your mind develops craving urges, your brain is a powerful tool in helping you control your weight. Because of this, binaural beats can help with weight loss since it creates two separate frequencies to each ear, and then the brain reacts by creating a third tone which in turn generates a combination of frequencies that can actually create a “shift in consciousness”, thus helping you control your urges to eat.

Insomnia

When binaural beats are combined with relaxing music, listeners can easily fall into a deep state of relaxation because the music effectively helps slow down the “chattering” in your mind and forces your brain to transform from a relaxing Alpha state to a more hypnotic Delta state.

Anxiety and Depression

Binaural beats are effective in treating anxiety as well as any other panic disorder or phobia along with depression, because there are specific sounds in binaural beats that force the listener to feel more relaxed and calm.

Thanks to recent developments in technology, there are numerous CDs, MP3s and sound files you can find online that are specifically directed towards people who are looking to treat depression or anxiety by listening to binaural beats.
